Moscow says may not prolong support to businesses to 2021

MOSCOW, Oct 6 (PRIME) -- Moscow has no plans to prolong the pandemic business support measures to 2021, Vladimir Yefimov, deputy mayor for economic and property policies, told PRIME in an interview on Tuesday.

"Speaking of prolongation of the support measures, we will be looking at economic development. There has been no need to prolong these measures so far," Yefimov said.

He said that consumer demand exceeds the 2019 level by 3–4%.

"At the same time, we understand that the consumption structure has slightly changed, the amount of non-food goods sold has grown, more goods is now sold online rather than in the malls. This will inevitably cause a change of the sales channels used by business and maybe, the layout of our malls will change in some cases," Yefimov said.
